Digital Photography Requirements

Digital photos submitted for the 2011 Hershey Harrisburg Visitors Guide should be taken at the highest resolution setting on your camera.

Digital Parameters (must have the following requirements):

• At least 300dpi

• 1200 x 1800 pixels and at least 4”x 6”

We cannot accept photos that are:

• Depicting lewd or offensive (to race, religion, sex, etc.) imagery.

• Embedded in another file type, such as a PowerPoint or Word document.

• Downloaded from a Web site, as these typically do not meet resolution requirements for print publication.

• Taken with a camera phone.

• Resized from a smaller image. A 72 dpi image, for example, that is electronically resized to 300 dpi is not acceptable.

• No PDF’s are accepted.

Images can be submitted the following ways:

1) E-mail to photos@hersheyharrisburg.org.

File size can be no larger than 10MB. If your file exceeds this limit, please email photos individually.

*Include Name of Photographer, Address, Phone, Email, Photo Caption information.

2) Photos can be submitted on a CD/DVD and mailed to:

Photo Credit

Each photograph published in the Hershey Harrisburg Visitors Guide will be accompanied by a photo credit, e.g. "Photo taken by Matt Smith of Harrisburg or Company Name".

Visitors Guide Print Photograph Usage Policy

BY SUBMITTING CONTENT IN RESPONSE TO THIS WEB POSTING, I HEREBY AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS:

1) I grant the Hershey Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau the right to use my photography, including the right to publish and copyright in any and all media of advertising and promotion my submitted photography without limitation as to change, duration, frequency or territory in perpetuity.

2) I waive all inspection and approval. If my print or negative is used by the Hershey Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau, I will not authorize its use by anyone else.

3) I warrant and represent that this release does not conflict with any existing commitment on my part, nor does it violate the rights of any third party.

4) I understand that the Hershey Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau reserves the right to select the photographs that will be published in the 2011 Visitors Guide and that not all photographs submitted will be published.

5) I understand that there is no financial obligation or agreement between the Hershey Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau and myself.

6) I own the rights to the images I have submitted, free and without obligation. Any people appearing in my images agreed to do so with full consent. I can provide their names and contact information if necessary.
